St. Louis Car Accident Attorney

I have been trained in forensics by the American Academy of Forensic Sciences.

I have extensive training in handling scientific evidence, which means I am able to independently analyze evidence that can help prove your case.

For more than 30 years, I, Robert A. Ciuffa, Attorney at Law, have offered knowledgeable and compassionate legal representation to individuals and families in the greater St. Louis, Missouri, area who have been involved in auto accidents.

I am available to speak with people who have questions about the personal injury legal process or would like to pursue compensation for their injuries. Call me today at 314-219-1906 or contact me by e-mail to schedule your free consultation. My office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and by appointment.

Missouri is a comparative negligence state, which means there may be fault attributable to both or all parties involved in a car accident. This is why it is so important to have an experienced lawyer, like myself, handling your case. I can help prove liability through my knowledge of the law and my additional training in forensic sciences.

I have the skills and ability to demonstrate who shoulders more of the liability and who should be responsible for the damages and injuries and pain and suffering that have resulted. I am here to help you achieve maximum compensation for your claim resulting from:

  • Truck accidents
  • Motorcycle accidents
  • Rear-end collisions
  • Accidents resulting from DUI

I am familiar with how to deal with insurance companies and how to research all lines of insurance in order to achieve a successful claim. I am here to negotiate with insurers for you as well as the other side's counsel. I will represent you at any mediation proceeding and I have extensive trial experience as well. I make a point to involve my clients throughout the process so that you always know what is happening in your case and that you are always the final decision maker when it comes to determining how we proceed. Do not permit an insurance company and its staff of lawyers to take advantage of your situation. Arm yourself with a lawyer of your choice, who will work for you, and keep you informed.

Auto, Truck and Motorcycle Accidents

I handle the Plaintiff's side of car, truck, and motorcycle accidents, working to secure fair and ample compensation for my client's injuries and losses. These are civil actions brought by the Plaintiff (the injured party) against the negligent driver who caused the collision and injuries. Cell phones and texting have increased the occurrence of these injurious and negligent collisions.

Truck and motorcycle accidents are the most troubling and disturbing given the relative size of these vehicles. Large truck accidents often cause horrendous injuries to the injured driver because of the enormous size and weight of those vehicles. A collision with an eighteen wheeler hauling 80000lbs is never minor and often involves inferior equipment, incompetent maintenance, and/or negligent driving.

While truck accidents are illustrative of the destructive power of large vehicles, the motorcycle demonstrates how the small vehicle is victimized because of it is negligently disregarded by drivers of larger vehicles. I have ridden a motorcycle for over 40 years, from one end of this country to the other, and I can vouch for the cavalier disregard of motorcycles by other drivers. There is no defensible reason for such disregard in light of the clear and apparent risk of death and serious bodily injury to the motorcyclist and passenger.

Bear in mind that Missouri is a "comparative negligence" state. What this means is that fault for an accident is attributable to each driver involved. Obviously your opponent's insurance carrier will wish to attribute a high percentage of fault to you so as to reduce their financial exposure. Familiarity with the dynamics of vehicle collisions and the internal procedures of liability insurers is critical to achieving just and sufficient compensation for the injured driver.

I handle these personal injury cases and generally undertake them on a contingent fee basis after a case evaluation. A contingent fee means that unless there's a recovery you don't pay. If you have been injured in a car, truck, or motorcycle accident I would like to talk with you. Remember it is critical that you act quickly to protect your interests and to preserve your health.
